The Clinical Coordinator’s Number One Job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, and understand how he or she contributes to the health system’s vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families.
A Clinical Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who functions as a role model, facilitator, mentor and coach for all clinical and support staff. Helps coordinate work shift activities in the clinical area. Assists the Nurse Manager with continuous quality improvement, personnel utilization, performance appraisals, resource usage and budget management, and maintenance of standards of care. Able to provide care to patients on designated units.
- Education and formal training: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; B.S. in Nursing or related field preferred. Current licensure as an RN in North Carolina.
- Work experience: Minimum of one year experience as a clinical nurse in acute care environment. Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities: Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Previous leadership experience preferred.
