The purpose of this position is to perform detailed research, identification, keying and preparation of documents in a timely and efficient manner for scanning to AWD to support the business needs. Schedules and overtime will vary and will be based on the needs of our customers, departmental staffing and business flow. Overtime may be voluntary or mandatory and will be based on the previously mentioned needs. This Position Summary is intended to provide a general description of job duties and may not be all inclusive of responsibilities and requirements.
Daily processing of Group and Individual payments to include research, identification, keying and detailed preparation of the documents for scanning.
Daily communication with Management or Business Units regarding document processing.
Data Entry: Keying information related to customer/group policies into the system.
Indexing of imaged work transactions in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate work distribution and tracking of non-deposited payments.
Coordination of daily activities to ensure completion of work in a timely manner based on business priorities.
Storage and retrieval of documents on a daily basis accurately tracking work complete, work in progress and work in research.
Review of work performed to ensure high quality standard with an accuracy goal of 100%.
Cross train on various duties in the department for backup of other workflows or perform supplemental work processing to ensure department deadlines for work are met.
Scanning of documents to an image database.
Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
Required skills, characteristics, experience, education and pre-employment testing requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic PC operation skills, 10-key skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word and Excel required.
Effective interpersonal communication within a team environment, with management and customer service skills required.
High level of work accuracy to ensure quality work produced required.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is subject to frequent procedural changes required.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Flexibility to switch job function according to staffing needs and work volume required.
Experience working in an accounting, banking or related environment preferred.
This position is located in an office clerical environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move boxes up to 35 pounds (may be heavier for some areas of responsibility).
Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to read and comprehend at the twelfth grade level or higher.
