Supervisory experience

Reporting to the Director of the Clinical Trials Office supervise and support a team of Clinical Trial Business Operations Assistants/Associates and QA-MCA Operations Associates with the completion of various tasks related to the initiation and administrative management of clinical trials. These tasks include the development and negotiation of clinical trial-specific budgets, development of Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCA) for all clinical trials, the maintenance of the study and patient registry (Velos) including related document management, maintenance and continued process improvement of a pre-award process, interface with IT systems, implementation and training for institution-wide Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), establish metrics for reporting to customers and institutional administrators, assisting research teams with the preparation of budgets for all studies, supporting study feasibility assessments and participating in resource meetings, ensuring that all required internal and external approvals have been granted prior to initiating the study, and other related study management. In addition to supervising the pre-award team, the CTBO Sr. Manager is responsible for providing quality assurance reviews on all MCAs, budgets, and helps to enforce the various business operations policies and procedures.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting with demonstrated knowledge of Clinical Trial billing compliance and pre-award activities required. Knowledge of Coding preferred. Strong competency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Knowledge of Velos preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and/or commercial payer benefits preferred. Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
