Key Responsibilities:
The Chemical Manager is responsible for providing chemical management support in customer plants. Provide sales support to maintain and expand business at existing accounts and effective start up of new accounts. Assist in the development and commercialization of new products and services. Oversee technical and administrative support for the Tier I contract. Other responsibilities will include preparing and presenting monthly meetings with customer and suppliers, reviewing monthly close out/chemical usages & invoices, checking/controlling inventories. This position will also be responsible for supervising contract employees.

Work Environment:
The incumbent will provide technical sales and service support to the customer in an automotive assembly plant environment. Some travel may be required.

Experience and Education:
Required: High school degree and related work experience. Candidates must have current Automotive Coatings SBU experience. Desired: College degree in chemistry, general science or a related discipline.

Functional and Technical Skills:
3-5 years in a technical setting or automotive assembly plant environment. Must have experience and familiarity with GM Chemical Management programs. Good written and oral communication skills. Good computer skills.
