Responsible for comprehensive management of daily business operations within the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department. Assist members of the department with fund administration including the business aspects of personnel management, grants management and expense management. Serve as the liaison to the college administrative unit and university functional offices and advise faculty of university policies and procedures related to personnel activity and grants/contracts expenditures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related business field plus two years progressively responsible administrative experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Proficiency in document/report preparation and formatting in word processing and spreadsheets is necessary. Ability to work professionally with students, faculty, staff, and community groups is essential. Strong interpersonal, organizational and supervisory skills required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be detail oriented, and able to work effectively with multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer experience in an academic environment; knowledge of process/information requirements for sponsoring agencies; experience using SAP, Access, SIS+, and Fastlane; knowledge of a wide range of electronic communication and extensive use and ability to communicate well in writing; and experience with pre/post award process for grants.
