The North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences (NC TraCS) Institute is working hard to reduce the time it takes for laboratory discoveries to become treatments and to engage communities in all aspects of clinical research. The Institute also fulfills the critical need to train new generations of clinical and translational investigators. To support these activities, NC TraCS offers research communities access to a number of programs and services that will support all phases of research.

To achieve these goals, TraCS offers a number of programs and services to assist researchers through all phases of the process of translating basic science discoveries into meaningful health advances.

One of the services our Institute offers is providing temporary staffing for UNC researchers and staff based on specific requirements for projects, tasks and work to be done.

UNC needs individuals that have a strong background in general program and office administration and other activities. Individuals could assist faculty, writers, staff and others with day-to-day administrative activities.

Positions could be responsible for but not limited to setting up and work stemming from meetings, collecting and checking information and data for accuracy, preparing reports. We are looking for individuals that can meet deadlines, are flexible and comfortable working with a wide variety and multiple audiences on a day to day basis.

If selected, candidates will be added to a pool of (Business Services Admin) and will be contacted depending upon the projects and needs of the investigators at UNC .

Education and Experience

Requires strong computer experience and Internet searching skills. Also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management, staff and others.

Program or Project management skills a big plus.

Preference will be given to individuals with strong administration background. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and able to handle a variety of demands is extremely important.
