Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Claims Specialist located in our Norman, Oklahoma office.

Analyze waiver, claims and warranty requests to determine the eligibility for member payments with the plan provisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Claims Specialist compares data on waiver requests or claim forms with membership plan to ascertain completeness and validity of the request. Examines waiver request or claim form and other records to determine member benefits. Proactively works to resolve waivers and claims as expeditiously as possible. Reviews and analyze detailed records. Calculates benefits according to the schedule of coverage. Cultivates relationships. Incrementally increase productivity without jeopardizing quality. Approves waiver requests and claims at the appropriately demonstrated assigned authority level. Handles incoming warranty requests and processes service requests for warranty within the plan provisions. Handles difficult phone calls. Composes special correspondence.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Writes clearly, concisely and effectively. Communicates verbally effectively and with impact. Computer literate. Detail oriented. Ability to multi-task Manages time effectively. Committed to superior customer servicing. Ability to work independently, a self- starter.

Required skills:
Excellent data entry skills
Must be able to multitask
Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel
Analytical experience
Team player and self-motivated: Able to work independently and in a group
Able to sit for long periods of time working on a task
Must be available for overtime on a flexible schedule

Minimum Work Experience Required:
2 – 5 years Benefit payment waiver, warranty processing or claim adjudication experience

Required Education:
High School or GED required

College preferred, or equivalent work experience
