Information Protection team is chartered with delivering on the Compliance scenarios across the entire Office stack: client software on Windows/Mac/iOS/Android, server software such as Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, FAST, etc. Our scenarios span on-premise configurations, datacenter-only deployments in Office365 and hybrid/federated deployments; our code runs anywhere where the Office stack is present, from phones and tablets to datacenters with tens of Petabytes of information. Our mission is to help IT administrators, corporate security teams and corporate legal teams protect their intellectual property while enabling the Information Workers to use the latest technologies for processing and sharing documents without a constant concern about protecting company intellectual assets.
We are looking for SDETs to champion the quality of our E-discovery team. This team is responsible for building a state of the art information discovery solution on top of document storage platforms such as Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Yammer, SkyDrive, file shares, internal audit records, etc. A successful SDET engineer in this team is an excellent cross-product collaborator, ramps up very fast on new code bases, has excellent knowledge of C# and/or C/C++ programming and core data structures and algorithms, experience in developing Test Automation suites for distributed systems.
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
2+ years of developing automation experience.
Strong design, coding and debugging skills in C#, WCF and Business Services component layer in general.
Working experience in different and large data storage technologies would be a big plus. (Peta or Tera byte size systems).
Enthusiasm for testing, debugging and managing online services is expected. Our testers work very closely with our developers and other disciplines to shape the product in the right direction - i.e. Spec reviews, code analysis with developers, automation input from developers
Ability to influence and drive quality across the team and disciplines
Ability to perform system-wide root cause analyses and drive improvements
A temperament that thrives in a changing and challenging environment.
Demonstrated experience shipping products at Microsoft (Services a big plus)
Exceptional test aptitude, customer focus and expertise in formal and informal testing techniques as well as quality measurement
A BS degree in computer science or a commensurate experience
