Location: Providence, RI, Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL

The Project Manager position is a role with high visibility and significant responsibility for the deployment of managed security services to new and existing Dell SecureWorks clients. The Project Manager is responsible for providing end-to-end cross-discipline leadership throughout the Project Lifecycle. The Project Manager coordinates with various groups within the MSS business unit to ensure on-time and successful project deployments with a high degree of customer satisfaction, in accordance with Dell SecureWorks defined deployment processes. The Project Manager manages each aspect of the service deployment project including project initiation, solution design, provisioning, service activation and transition to ongoing service delivery. The deployments that the Project Manager manages can be large scale multi-faceted, and may have significant tactical, financial or strategic implications for Dell.

  • Manage multiple medium to large projects simultaneously
  • Own project from start to finish; through all project phases
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans
  • Escalate issues and risks to appropriate stakeholders and create mitigation plans
  • Coordinate and schedule all project tasks
  • Provide accurate, clear and timely project status to internal Dell management and external customers
  • Develop and execute process enhancements
  • Host and facilitate meetings with business and technical resources
  • Ensure Customer needs are addressed promptly and professionally
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum 4 year of Project Management experience with focus on Information Technology (IT)
  • PM experience in large infrastructure environments
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate, negotiate and influence across all levels of an organization
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to work flexible hours with potential weekend work
  • Capable of adapting to various applications and tools as required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, PMI, Prince2 or equivalent)
  • 2 year of Project management experience with Firewall/Security projects
  • 2 years of Project management experience with large enterprise environments
  • Strong familiarity with project planning concepts
  • Experience managing large scale global projects
  • Ability to build and grow client relationships
