A Technical Director is sought for a newly constructed comprehensive rehabilitation center in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates that will be completed in June 2012. The center will house up to 400 children with disabilities and will provide services including a boarding school and specialty therapies.
The technical director will live in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates and assist in start-up planning, including class set up and staff selection and training. The starting date will be by January 2012. A three-year renewable contract is envisioned.
Qualifications and background of candidates
Preference is for an experienced individual with a Ph.D. or a minimum of a Masters degree. The candidate should have wide experience in the field of special education and the organization of comprehensive rehabilitation for children with disabilities. The person should be competent in operational management, and universal laws and by-laws for such centers. She should provide technical direction and have knowledge of progressive programs and research. The person will oversee a number of projects and keep in close contact with the administrative manager, especially on budget and program issues.
Salary is $6,000 per month, Additionally, the Technical Director will be entitled to fully furnished accommodations, including electricity, water and internet service. A private car will be available with all expenses paid. Three economy class air tickets will be made available annually to be used for any destination. Full medical insurance will be provided. The post will be entitled to 60 days annual leave.
The location of the new center is in the city of Al Ain. An on-site interview will be arranged.
