This role will have the following major duties and responsibilities:
Liaise with Business and IT teams to gather and define detailed requirements and functional specifications for IT system implementation projects.
Support and coordinate system implementations through the project lifecycle (analysis/design, testing, rollout, and hand-over) working with other teams on a local and global basis.
Manage multiple work streams in parallel.
Liaise with Business team in the initiation, planning, tracking, and delivery of projects and work streams.
Support the management of project work streams to lead, guide, and assist other team members, ensure quality and timeliness of delivery, and assist in use and enhancement of team methodologies.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
Strong analytic and product-management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Working experience in financial industry, especially Wealth Management applications is a plus
Project Management & Tracking skills a must, PM certification a plus.
Experience with Java/J2EE based application development projects
Proven delivery track record of managing business analysis within fast-paced corporate environment
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Project, Visio and SQL
Willingness to learn new technologies & applications a must!
End-to-end lifecycle experience of systems development & implementation project
Ability to work with offshore delivery teams
Development background in an object-oriented language
Experience using a structured modeling language, preferably UML and/or BPMN
Experience modeling data, processes, events, use cases, and objects
Experience facilitating client workshops/discussions
Ability to review technical documentation, specifications, and architecture
User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design understanding
Experience with Enterprise Architect or other modeling tools
Ability to identify and escalate risks and issues as appropriate and identify potential solutions
