The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division of the Idaho Transportation Department uses Microsoft SharePoint for a wide and growing array of business needs. This position will fulfill the customer service, planning, and implementation needs of the Planning and Governance section of ETS. The opportunities for solving business problems quickly, securely, and effectively will be a significant focus for ETS in the future.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform system and business analysis with internal ITD customers to identify feasible solutions;
Train and support customer staff on business and system administration duties for managing individual SharePoint sites;
Maintain documentation on the department's SharePoint installations;
Contribute to successful implementation of projects as the ETS SharePoint resource;
Contribute to strategic planning and IT governance implementation and compliance;
Perform relationship management duties with customers;
Support the ETS software lifecycle management activities as the SharePoint resource;
Audit compliance with department standards for SharePoint implementation;
Interact with third party (software) vendors as needed to assure the department's hardware and software configuration is in compliance with standards;
Production of, and implementation support for reporting from SharePoint;
Support for general SharePoint training

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the information technology (IT) field within the last seven years to include at least three years as an IT Programmer Analyst or equivalent in which significant design and analysis duties were assigned and meet the following requirements:
Experience performing complex systems design and analysis: this requires at least three years' experience where a significant part of the assigned duties required interacting with users to design and analyze their system needs; performing data modeling using databases for new systems development; and developing systems requirements was an assigned duty in systems design and analysis.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Good knowledge of: business management practices
Some knowledge of: project management practices
Good communication skills, both verbally and written
Good knowledge of software testing procedures and practices
Some experience providing training
Good knowledge of Business Administration and System Administration of Microsoft SharePoint 2010
Good knowledge of user requirements gathering, business process analysis, and IT systems analysis
