We are currently hiring an
IT Manager-Database Administrator
Kansas City, MO
You will have the opportunity to lead and develop the team supporting UMBs database environment. Technologies primarily focus on MS SQL Server and Oracle but also include DB2 and MySQL. The Manager will drive performance for an existing team of DBA professionals while providing strategic direction towards efficiency and optimization of the environment. The individual will work with other IT leaders to create, measure, and report progress towards established Service Level Agreements.
Managing a changing technical landscape. Focusing the team on activities that add value to the organization.
Leading and energizing multiple sub teams towards a common organizational goal.
Managing the needs of multiple projects and allocating resources accordingly.
Managing the relationship between UMB and our technology vendors.
Achieving results through direct and indirect influence of management and the team.
What youll need:
7-10 years of relevant work experience including 3-5 years of prior management, supervisory or team leader experience
5-7 years of experience in database architecture, engineering, or operational domains
Advance Knowledge of Oracle Database 11g
Advance Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008r2
Advance Knowledge of logical and physical data models
Setting strategy and developing database solutions
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field
Banking or Financial Industry knowledge
Experience with Oracle RAC clusters
Experience with MS SQL Server clusters
Experience with databases running on virtual machines
Experience with MySQL and IBM DB2
Experience with managing a large-volume Data Warehouse
