Senior Global IT Operations lead who will provide leadership, vision and direction for Linux and Windows initiatives that support the company’s Global business objectives and requirements. Lead the application engineering team to support the SAP OPEX system as well as support the organization and the business. Provide tactical and strategic database and linux/windows advice and examine the ramifications of new and existing technologies in the areas of support, architecture, operations and new projects. Own & resolve key issues upon escalation and responsible for success and satisfaction of internal and external customers (business).
Major Accountabilities: Provide support of SAP OPEX bolt-on systems running in FTW as well as other Linux and Windows database systems migrating to FTW from Atlanta datacenter.
Windows team lead for Application Engineering with MS SQL experience.
Train less experienced work group members on specific tasks, business, and technical processes.
Top level information specialist on SQL database. Primary internal consultant leading systems analysis, systems management, and systems implementation projects. Act as internal consultant on the most complex technical issues involving Oracle, the infrastructure on which Oracle runs, and the applications that Oracle supports.
Subject matter expert advising management and work group members on complex information technology issues. Develop, review, and approve technical and quality documentation associated with supported systems.
Windows and SQL related tasks. Database strategy, design, implementation, maintenance tasks.
Assist in analysis and resolution for advanced issues with intricate client, server, network, storage and database issues.
Provide analysis and resolve issues with intricate technology aspects of business applications (SAP OPEX).
Create, support, modify, and maintain the most complex systems and programs.
Create supporting documentation and work instructions.
Interact with senior management, advise on significant technical issues and coordinate across line of business.
Ensure and recommend improvements in the compliance with defined internal and external standards and regulations.
Train and provide consulting for other engineers as it relates to MS SQL and MS Windows.
Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent as relevant to discipline.
9-10 years technical experience in a leadership position.
Strong technical knowledge in 2 or more of the following domains: HPUX, Linux, AIX, Windows, Oracle, SQL, management, ERP, or Information systems.
Strong documentation skills.
