State: California - City: Fremont - Denomination: Non-denominational - Description: The Home of Christ Church in Fremont, California (HOC3) seeks a Minister (leading to pastoral ordination) for the English Ministry who has a heart for family-oriented multi-generational congregations. The ideal candidate is not of the mind that he is working for "his" ministry, but Jesus' ministry for the overall mission of the church for both the Chinese and English speaking congregations. With this in mind, this candidate is flexible and willing to contribute to whatever the church needs, if necessary from preaching and teaching to Kindergartners all the way to Adults.

While the current need at HOC3 is for a candidate to pastor our English speaking youth (primarily junior high and high school students), our desire is not to pigeonhole or brand the candidate as a "Youth Pastor" for life. This candidate will have ample opportunities to exercise his gifts in all areas of ministry, potentially leading all aspects of the English Ministry after necessary experience, recommendations, and time. We desire a spiritually growing candidate who is willing to stay and grow with our church long-term, and who also values and desires to minister to people of all ages. We also place a higher premium on humility, teachableness, and character than talent and/or ability alone.

In addition, the ideal candidate possesses:
1. A firm faith in God and a solid knowledge of Scripture, and is able to preach and teach to all ages.
2. A love for people and a desire to help them grow spiritually through discipleship.
3. A willingness to be taught and to partner with elders, deacons, and other staff members in fulfilling the mission and goals God has given to HOC3.
