The Registered Dental Hygienist’s role is to evaluate the patient’s dental hygiene and health and perform and instruct patients on preventative dental care. Regular duties include but are not limited to: removal of calculus, stains and plaques from above and below the gum line: apply caries preventative agents; instruct patients on plaque control and dental hygiene, remove sutures, polish and raconteur amalgam restorations and perform preliminary examinations including but not limited to, periodontal charting, soft tissue examinations, charting of lesions, existing and missing teeth, classify occlusions and administer local anesthetics, nitrous oxide and oxygen.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to put patients at ease
BS in related field with minimum of 3 years related experience
Valid California state hygiene license
Ability to obtain an NPI
