A Client Relations Specialist is the entry level position into Client Relationship Management. These associates are responsible for ensuring clients’ operational needs and issues, both tactical and strategic, are managed to the highest level of satisfaction while developing and maintaining exceptional client relationships. This job family encompasses both product-focused and client relationship-focused areas.
Associates are accountable for and/or support the relationship between the client and DST, other divisions and subsidiaries, technical groups, and other functional areas as appropriate. Associates manage client expectations, provide operational support, meet service/product requests, coordinate and/or provide issue resolution, identify and implement process improvements, manage client communication, produce and/or maintain documentation, provide reports, attend customer meetings, etc. They anticipate, identify, and analyze customer needs and recommend the best solutions through existing and/or new development, new and/or existing products, and/or business opportunities.
Associates in Client Relationship Management must possess strong knowledge of DST products, services, and service practices to provide superior customer service. In addition, they must possess strong knowledge of the clients’ business and culture in order to develop short- and long-range business plans for add-on business opportunities, services, and/or sales.
