Self-Pay Representative at Swedish/Edmonds in Edmonds, Washington.
The Self-Pay Representative is responsible for following up and collecting on patient balance accounts effectively and in a timely manner.
In this position you will:
Review current collection activity on patient balance accounts
Respond to all incoming phone calls and mail concerning problems on patient balance accounts
Make outgoing calls to patients to request payment
Coordinate all phases of outsourced self-pay accounts
Identify, process and monitor any bankruptcy accounts in system
Review and process all financial assistance applications
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in credit/collections in a medical office or other health care setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Course work in office/business administration
