Company Description:
We have two divisions of our company. Travel Leaders - Albertville is a traditional storefront travel agency specializing in leisure vacations. The other division of the company (TravelQuest) is a host agency for over 300+ independent contractor travel agents. We provide agents the technology, support, and training to start and run their travel business.

TravelQuest is looking for a Recruitment & Support Specialist that thrives in a fast paced environment, has a positive attitude, and works well in a small team setting (6-8 staff). We are looking for a highly organized individual that learns quickly and takes initiative.

The job has two major components and while we do not require the candidate has a travel background, a well-traveled individual would be helpful. You will be working with travel agents instead of travelers:

RECRUITMENT
About 35% of the time you will be working with prospective travel agents-- answering their questions, letting them know the advantages of our program, and sending follow-up resources if necessary. Our prospects range from experienced agents to those that know nothing about the travel industry. There is a definite sales component to it so we are looking for someone friendly and comfortable working with people. We attend 2-5 tradeshows/industry events a year. Candidate should be available to possibly travel periodically for 2-4 day events and be able to work the tradeshow booth with other staff.

SUPPORT
The largest portion of your job will consist of being the main point of contact for support for our existing network of 300+ agents. They may be calling in for anything from very simple tasks like resetting a password to more complex things like problems with bookings.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Write a weekly article (approx 500 words) for our blog
  • Enter training opportunities into calendar
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Personable, positive attitude towards their job, their co-workers, and our clients is a must.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Experience in travel a plus but not necessary
  • Comfortable with computers and navigating
  • Fluent in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Familiar with Clientbase a plus but not necessary
Side note: We do have a dog in the office fairly often so please make sure you're comfortable with dogs if applying.
