W AKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Department of Counseling is seeking a tenure track assistant professor of counselor education beginning July 1, 2013. The person chosen must have an earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program and be eligible for license as a LPC in the State of North Carolina. Experience as a counselor in either an educational or agency setting is desirable. A candidate should have a strong desire and potential for excellence in graduate and undergraduate teaching related to counseling and human services. A record of publications in counselor education and a research agenda is a must. Applicants will be expected to be a generalist covering a variety of courses in the CACREP accredited masters degree programs in school and clinical mental health counseling and will occasionally teach a counseling related undergraduate course. Highly developed supervision skills are a must.
