This transfer opportunity is open only to Employment Security Department (ESD) employees who are permanent in a base position in this job class.

Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) provides professional information technology services to support the business of the agency and its partners.
In support of information systems and users in an assigned area of responsibility, this position independently performs consulting, designing, programming, installation, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or technical support for applications, associated databases, and reporting services. This position also uses established work procedures and innovative approaches to complete assignments and coordinate projects such as conducting needs assessments.

Duties:
Coordinate with staff from other IT units.
Participate in team meetings and communicate and coordinate status, work schedule and work tasks with team, manager and business partners as required.
Assist in supporting and maintaining distributed web based applications.
Work with business partners and data providers in developing business requirements. Develop functional and/or technical requirements.
Develop and alter code in the Microsoft.net environment and advanced VB scripting.
Build queries and extract ad hoc data using MS SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services
Assist in the design and development of distributed web based applications.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications
Awareness-level oral communication skills - convey information orally according to the needs of the audience, and receive and understand spoken information.
Awareness-level workload management skills - plan and organize assignments to create timely, accurate work products. Work efficiently, remain focused, and handle interruptions effectively.
Working-level customer service skills - build and maintain customer relations and satisfaction.
Awareness-level application development skill.
Working-level testing skill - unit testing, requirements testing, user testing, load testing, functional, performance/load testing, regression testing.
Additional requirement
Demonstrated ability to assist in the design, development, and support of distributed web based applications using VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
