Ameriforge Group, a privately held Houston-based forged manufacturing corporation, comprising 10 companies, 21 plants, and multiple brands is experiencing tremendous group and currently seeking 'top talent' to fill 1st and 2nd Class Weld opportunities at various plant locations in Houston. Only 'Ideal candidates' will be interviewed, tested, and hired immediately for Direct Hire positions with company benefits. At Ameriforge, welders are responsible for performing accurate welding processes, using drawings of specifications, and also select welding procedures that are best suited for the job to ensure all work in performed in a safe manner and/or to 'Client's' specifications. Core Responsibilities but are not limited to: Perform manual, semi-automatic, and machine welding utilizing following weld processes; SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, and FCAW Ensuring parts are weld according to provided procedures, specifications, codes, weld details and weld symbol Other duties as assigned
Must Have Requirements: Ability to technically and efficiently operate welding equipment, forklift, pallet jacks and assemble a variety of parts Ability to set-up workstation and safely implement welding processes Ability to read and work from drawing Must have 1-5 yrs. experience with piping/other materials within Manufacturing/Production Environment Possess good communication skills, written, verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills Must be action orientated, organized, dependable, flexible, adaptable and a team player Educational Requirements/Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred Trade School preferred 3-5 yrs. pipe welding experience preferred Physical Requirements: Possess the ability to stand, bend, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to squat and/or walk for 8-10 hours per day
