Dell Federal Marketing is looking for a candidate to fill a senior marketing programs manager position to support its growing Channel/reseller business.
This position will own the development and execution of the go-to-market plans to support our growth initiatives for channel sales.
Individual will drive and execute an integrated marketing plan to support the P&L for Federal, reseller sales in North America.
The position involves partnering very closely with Federal sales leaders, Global Commercial Channel Sales, Business Intelligence, Finance and the NA marketing team to create vertical-specific Channel programs and to support resellers in selling into the Federal vertical.
By working closely with these organizations, this person will develop reseller-facing programs that achieve sales demand through the following activities:
Driving and updating vertical web content for Partner Portal & Certified Practice Areas
Driving both print and electronic collateral development based on reseller needs
Driving required vertical reseller training compliance
Alignment with Fed channel sales leaders/teams
Drive Dell Partner Council program and all relative workstreams
Assist with Client, Enterprise, and M & A to drive channel growth in those areas
Provide executive readouts on program status & impact
Become marketing POC for key Federal GSA and Federal Authorized partners
Drive partner marketing consultative sessions w/key partners
Develop and drive Dell Public-level programs with channel colleagues
lignment with broader Global Channel teams
Individual will be responsible for assessing vertical reseller market trends, quantifying opportunities, and developing programs to meet the growing needs of the segments.
Individual will work with Corporate Communications team to increase visibility and awareness to key industry audiences (1105 Media, NASCIO, ISTE) through use of press releases, case studies, press briefings, featured stories, speaking opportunities and analyst briefings.
Some travel is required.
Must have 7-10 years sales and/or marketing experience in the public sector
Channel marketing experience required
Knowledge of Federal customers & resellers a plus
Knowledge of client & server products a plus
Must possess strong analytical and business skills
Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must be able to drive results through others in a complex, cross-functional organization
Must demonstrate ability to lead in creating, executing and measuring a successful marketing campaign.
Must demonstrate knowledge and experience with sales enablement & executive sales alignment
Must demonstrate the ability to negotiate co-marketing plans and budgets
Must possess excellent communications skills, strong management skills and ability to prioritize resources.
MBA strongly preferred
