The Facebook Communications and Public Policy team is responsible for articulating the company’s vision, strategy, and values to educate and inform employees and position the Facebook brand among users, media, policy makers, partners and other influencers. Facebook is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and detail-oriented Associate to join the Corporate Communications practice. As a generalist on the team, this person will be a key contributor to our general corporate communication programs and initiatives. We’re looking for people with a love of language and a natural ability to communicate concisely and effectively. A sense for deconstructing complex, diverse issues is a must. Responsibilities

*

Write and develop a wide range of original content, from drafting blog posts, contributed articles, and communication narratives to scripting and producing online videos and dynamic presentations in conjunction with designers

*

Research and report on user stories and other examples of Facebook’s impact on society and business

*

Support various Corporate Communications team efforts (e.g. handling media inquiries, managing photo shoots, staffing press events) as needed

*

Assist in management and development of press-specific resources like the Facebook Press, group and internal team resources such as a user story database and wiki resources for the blog

*

Serve as a generalist on the corporate team who is willing to jump in to assist or co-lead launches ranging from financial and corporate announcements to significant company milestones

Requirements

*

1 – 2 years of work experience

*

BA degree in journalism, communications, English or equivalent preferred

*

Excellent oral and written communications skills, with a knack for capturing complex concepts, and conveying them in simple, meaningful language

*

Master of grammar and AP style

*

Self-starter with ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully

*
