Execute the merchandise strategy for West Elm Brand through the catalog (and website). Execute business strategies to maximize the drive sales and profit. Work with creative team and brand merchants to produce an editorially rich, and highly productive catalog. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review plans and catalog merchandising goals; develops catalog merchandise strategies to achieve sales and gross margin goals. Work closely with Internet creative team to develop image, content, features, promos, and pages within catalog to drive product sales. Work closely with brand merchants to understand key product initiatives. Use this information to develop catalog strategy. Collaborate with catalog creative on design, layouts, image, and content. Participate in catalog photography and advises designers and stylist on changes with the creative team. Review website photography to determine additional photography needs for catalog. Analyze sales to identify opportunities for the channel. Communicate opportunities and findings to cross channel partners. Analyze metrics to connect behavioral profiles to customer, sales, and merchandising data. Review weekly, monthly sales reports. Attend key product development meetings. Keep abreast of market trends, consumer trends, competition, customer service issues, and catalog dynamics. Collaborate with Art Director in communication of creative direction for each season
Previous eCommerce, retail or catalog experience.
Strong affinity for the product/concept.
Visual display or website merchandising experience.
Proven analytical, business planning skills.
