Director of DevelopmentThe Lindner Center of HOPE is a mental health center in Mason, Ohio, providing state-of-the art mental health diagnostic and treatment services for adolescents through senior adults. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development professional.Position Responsibilities The Director of Development is responsible for indentifying, cultivating and securing gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations to achieve the vision and mission of the Lindner Center of HOPE. Collaborates with organizational leaders to develop an ambitious annual plan with objectives focused on securing major gifts. Utilizes technology efficiently and effectively to maximize results and communication. Maintains accurate records on development activities and gifts. Actively participates in and assists in planning of community events to increase awareness of the Lindner Center of HOPE to develop relationships with prospective donors. Initiates, plans and coordinates meetings, visits and social events with and for donors. Develops a plan for Board Members to assist with fundraising; secures major personal gifts from Board Members. Writes donor acknowledgements and proposals as needed. Indentifies potential grant opportunities and assists with grant proposals.
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Development, or related field or equivalent experience. 7-10 years of development experience required. Experience in medical field preferred. Available to regularly attend meetings and events outside normal business hours. Must be able to travel within Greater Cincinnati area and beyond to meet with potential donors, and attend events and meetings. Demonstrated ability to develop, plan implement and administer major gift programs. Demonstrates high energy, creativity, sociability, sophistication and an inspirational communication style to effectively communicate and connect with diverse individuals and groups. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.
