Under general supervision of the Building and Grounds Supervisor, independently coordinate and manage tasks. Exercise a high degree of independent decision making and judgment for making operational decisions and assignments of work along program lines. Provide a variety of program support and assistance in the overall day-to-day operation of the Facility Services Department. Interpret and apply policies, procedures and other regulations in the department. Interact with diverse staff, agency representatives, outside contractors/vendors and general public.

Due to the nature of this position, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to follow CWC Administrative Order, State and Federal regulations and policies; knowledge and proficient use of computer hardware and software systems; office practices and procedures; basic accounting principles and business processes; and policies, procedures and organizational structure of facility. Skill in effectively maintaining good working relationships with vendors, administration and general public. Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a part of a team, in self-directed manner; problem solve and resolve conflicts; organize work priorities, establish and maintain assigned deadlines; ability to follow complex directions/instructions; communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both orally and in writing; develop and utilize effective and efficient procedures; read, comprehend and carry out written instructions; ability to take a leadership role when necessary; to use effective time management skills; to enter and compile data using MS Office (Excel and Access); to make appropriate decisions in emergency situations; to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations based on written and verbal guidelines; to remember specific detail and report accurately; and ability to lift 30 pounds.

Position is in pay schedule 02, pay range 10. Minimum starting salary is $14.108 per hour plus excellent benefits. A six-month probationary period is required. This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.
