Major Duties and Responsibilities :

The Radio Network Technician is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, and repairing all fixed-end equipment associated with a Motorola 7x ASTRO 25 IP Digital Radio Network integrated with a Motorola Analog 4.1 Simulcast Radio Network consisting of radio transmitting and receiving equipment, servers, routers, switches and associated network equipment, Centracom Gold Elite Consoles, MCC7500 and MCC5500 consoles, Harris Constellation Microwave network, special testing instruments, and other City-owned electronic equipment. Position requires a specialized knowledge of electronics theory, circuit design, operation and maintenance of various types of communications and electronic equipment. Experience in the installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks is desired. The ability to obtain and maintain a City's driving permit is required.

Minimum Qualifications :

This position requires a high school diploma or GED Equivalent and 3 years related experience. A 2 year technical degree is highly desired.

Salary Range :

Salary will be based on work experience and market rate.
