- Administrative duties in support of the Clinical Director.
- Purchase supplies, equipment, and services utilizing prescribed purchasing guidelines and procedures.
- Perform timekeeping functions including overseeing leave and pay for Medical Staff.
- Answer questions concerning policies and procedures related to support/office services.
- Use computer automated systems to perform a variety of administrative tasks such as, p reparing and processing documents associated with the travel of staff; initiating p ersonnel actions for federal employees and contractors; and tracking expenditures.
- Assist staff with resolving patient's problems or issues.
Proficiency Requirements for Office Automation (OA)
Applicants must meet the following typing proficiency: 40 words per minute based on a five minute sample with three or fewer errors.
In addition to meeting the typing proficiency to qualify for this position at the GS-6 level you must also have:
GS-6 : 1 year of specialized work experience (equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level in Federal service). Examples of Specialized Experience for this position include: work experience performing administrative activities such as time keeping, federal travel, maintaining records, scheduling for upper management, and responding to complaints.
