Our work is varied and challenging but generally focused on construction of financial models and use of such models for financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, embedded value, risk management, economic capital, principles-based valuation, product pricing, stochastic analysis, ALM, and GAAP and statutory valuation and forecasts.
Experience with a wide variety of life and annuity product types. International experience a plus.
Strong technical skills and experience with details of financial management and/or product pricing.
Interest in career growth and possible future principalship.
Experience with or knowledge of financial markets, MCEV, Solvency II, IFRS, and/or PBA.
Foreign language skills a plus.
Near or recent Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
Actively taking and passing actuarial exams towards FSA designation.
2-5 years of experience with a life insurance company or consulting firm, or equivalent actuarial experience.
Knowledge of and experience with life insurance financial statements, life insurance or annuity product development, and actuarial modeling.
Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
Energy, initiative, and project management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness and aptitude for detail work.
Strong MG-ALFA® skills.
Willing to relocate to Seattle.
