We are looking for a talented, ambitious, data driven, self-starter to lead the Business Intelligence Department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about television, and an avid user of streaming video platforms. S/he will relish the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
As the first hire in the BI department this role offers a hands-on opportunity to start and grow a key function in one of the most pioneering consumer technology start-ups in the US.
Reporting to The Director, Content and Business Development, the Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for generating reports, dashboards and presentations and communicating findings to Aereo stakeholders including the CEO, CTO, and User Experience, Marketing and Customer Support teams.
Key tasks for the BI Manager include:
Defining inputs to measure, track, and analyze
Customer acquisition and retention
Platform usage
Customer satisfaction
System utilization
Querying internal database to source and export relevant data
Utilizing 3rd party BI tools to build and share reports and dashboards
Identifying and adding new data sources to supplement calculations and findings
Developing technical requirements and collaborating with engineers to automate data gathering process
Making business recommendations based on findings
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
TV Addict
Bachelors degree
3-5 years data analytics experience
Advanced quantitative / modeling skills
PowerPoint skills preferred
Knowledge of MySQL a plus
