Accounting Associates perform various accounting functions as needed while providing excellent customer service in all interactions.
Performs collection activities for non-sufficient funds and Emergency Road Service over the phone.
Prepares periodic report for senior management regarding past due balances.
Process business lines billing requests.
Performs Unclaimed Property reconciliations.
Process cash reports and posts sales transactions to the General Ledger.
Process and reconcile Registry payments for both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Tracks sales and adjustments that affect ticket inventory to provide accurate inventory balance reports.
Prepares General Ledger account analysis and posting journal entries.
Develops comprehensive knowledge of department and Club policies and procedures; may recommend process changes to streamline operations.
Builds professional relationships with co-workers, branch management, garages and industry contacts.
Cross-trains with Accounting Support staff to develop skills in various accounting functions to ensure efficient department operations.
Performs other job related duties as required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: One to two years Accounting experience with familiarity with General Ledger preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office specially Excel and Word platforms.
Excellent mathematical skills and good analytical skills required, including attention to detail and reasoning ability.
Professional, self –motivating, and reliable.
Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential information.
Strong organization and communication skills (written, verbal, phone)
Performs accurate and timely work
Detail oriented with good follow-up skills
