Job Description:
They’re looking for an up-and-coming artist who can fit into an existing team and help take a great product to the next level. You’ll have the chance to flex your creative muscles in a fun startup environment, while also reaping the benefits of working with an experienced group of game developers. Our current project involves work on semi-realistic environments, characters and clothing, with the potential to take on a core role in developing new content and concepts.
Qualifications and Experience:
3-5 years in a production art role
A great 2D art portfolio including a range of appealing styles
Strong knowledge of industry-standard tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
Recent social or mobile game development experience
Familiarity with character animation is a big plus
A constant drive to learn new techniques and improve
Nice to Have:
Expertise with tile-based iso environments and sprite sheets
Understanding of mobile game engines like Cocos2D
Experience with female-oriented titles
Desire to learn (or occasionally flex your muscles in) basic art direction
BFA in 2D traditional art, illustration, fashion design or product design
