This position exists to assist in the coordination of infusion and enteral services, therapies, supplies and equipment provision for patients and staff. The incumbent acts as a resource for and liaison between home care service lines and patients. This position gathers and processes documentation required for patient set-up, order generation and billing in a timely manner. The incumbent inputs data into and retrieves data from multiple information systems, and is responsible for tracking and review of information and statistics as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires high school graduation or equivalent.
Three (3) years of prior experience in home care or other related health care entity preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Requires knowledge of Medicare; Medicaid guidelines.
Requires knowledge of hospital discharge planning process .
Requires knowledge of billing procedures.
Requires excellent organizational and time management skills.
Requires excellent communication skills and problem solving skills.
Requires the ability to complete standardized routine tasks within time constraints.
Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of clinical records at all times.
Requires attention to detail; accuracy and efficiency.
Requires excellent customer service skills; including the ability/desire to promote home care positively in the community.
Requires the ability to utilize a computer for data entry purposes; and knowledge of common software applications.
Requires the ability to work independently.
Requires strong interpersonal skills; and ability/desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
