Avera Clinic Division - Nursing Float
Full Time TEMPORARY position to assist Clinic Division in vacations, ill calls, and leave of absences. Position will be re-evaulated after 90 days.
Demonstrates ability to perform a thorough systems assessment.
Demonstrates effective verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
Performs department specific computer skills.
Directs, plans, and coordinates work flow.
Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, family, physicians, other nursing staff, and ancillary departments.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, scope of care, performance improvement activities, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Maintains accurate nursing documentation.
Demonstrates skills in planning, critical synthesis, negotiating, collaborating, and organizing.
Promotes an environment that is in compliance with state and federal regulations.
RN may round with provider.
This will include keeping track of charges, ordering procedures, scheduling follow-up appointments, obtaining reports.
The nurse will be responsible for verifying CPT codes with the provider; will review locum coding for completeness; will submit charges to the Business Office in an organized fashion.
RN will communicate orders from clinic provider to ancillary departments (nurses).
Accuracy will be very important.
The nurse will be the link between the clinic doctor and patients and hospital staff.
Communication will need to be professional, accurate and convey excellent customer service.
Performs additional duties as directed.
