Position Title: Web Designer

Location: Arlington, VA

Position Status: Full Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $70-85K, DOE

Position Description:
Seneca Resources is seeking a highly skilled, creative and energetic web professional to join our application development team. As a Front-end Developer you will provide web design expertise on a collaborative team, using your skills to improve our website user experience and reinforce brand consistency across multiple websites and other new media projects. We're looking for someone who has:

Creative passion and talent for designing and delivering user friendly, intuitive solutions for both informational/marketing content and complex transactional applications
Technical skills to develop front-end HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript based on design concepts and functional specifications
Develops functioning prototypes as needed for key projects
Knowledgeable base of web standards, CSS3 based design, and cross-browser compatibility
Usage of the newest web technologies and bends existing web technologies to accomplish new things
Works closely with the Front-end architect to ensure that solutions meet enterprise technical standards
Works closely with UX Design Lead to ensure solutions meet enterprise branding and usability standards
Thorough detail-oriented attention in designing, coding, and testing
Solid foundation in user interface best practices, including design for search engine optimization, accessibility, and performance
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with design team, content specialists, and back-end development teams

Required Skills:
This position prefers a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Web Design, Interactive Design or a related field as well as 3-5 years of web design experience.
Advanced skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript are a must. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is required. Any additional experience working jQuery, social media, mobile websites/applications, or Visual Studio is a plus.
