The Telecommunications Analyst serves as liaison and provides technical support to telecommunications users, including design, planning, installation and maintenance. Analyzes telecommunications usage growth and works with end users and vendors to assist with projected telecommunications needs and equipment acquisition. Maintains system security, develops and maintains documentation, and troubleshoots telecommunications problems. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, PBX communications systems, call center technologies, mobile phones, and conferencing technologies, including those integrated with Internet-based services. Works to resolve telecommunications circuit issues, including working with our vendors. Administers telecommunications programs and services across Care New England. Assists in the professional development of other staff members and performs other job related duties as requested.

Required Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related area with three to five years experience supporting telecommunications hardware and software, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong hands-on knowledge of the configuration and optimization of telecommunications equipment and protocols, conferencing equipment including Avaya, voice over IP, Cisco and/or Nortel. Working technical knowledge of current telecommunications practices, protocols and principles, including cabling and wiring systems design and installation. Experience with supporting call centers and distributed campus locations. Ability to operate tools, components, peripherals and testing accessories. Ability to research, prepare and present cost estimates, capacity forecasting, and system upgrade recommendations. Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Participates in rotating on-call scheduled for after 24 hour support. Must be able to travel to all CNE locations. Must be proficient in the English language.
