The IQC Technician position is located at Bard Medical Division in Covington, GA.
Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
This position ensures that all goods received into the Incoming Quality Control department are handled in accordance with internal procedures and inspected in accordance with product specifications to ensure that the products meet visual, physical, and/ or dimensional requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Inspects incoming product (components, finished goods) in accordance with internal plant SOP's and Product Specifications. Inspections are indicated as Accept (meets requirements) or Reject (does not meet inspection requirements).
Accurately prepares inspection paperwork and result documentation.
Keeps accurate/ orderly records of inspections. Prepares Rejection Notices (where appropriate).
Properly samples product in accordance with procedures/ specifications.
Properly identifies and segregates product as to its inspection status (Pending, Reject, Accept)
Assist with sort and rework activiities.
Perfoms inventory transactions.
Assist in the review of red-lined EIPS / IPs.
Proper use of inspection equipment and the verification that equipment has a current calibration status.
Performs reboxing activities.
Education and/or Experience:
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer with basic level of keyboarding skills.
- Ability to use measurement equipment (e.g. Pin Gauge, Calipers, Micrometers,
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self starter, able to work independently with little direct supervision
- Responsible decision maker ability to reason and make sound decisions
- Must be detail oriented
- Forklift Certification/experience a plus
High School Education or equivalent (entry level position)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lifts and/or moves up to 35 pounds. Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of building.
