Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists staff in solving work problems. Enforces safety and Good Manufacturing Practice regulations. Maintains time and production records. Directly supervises production employees. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or five years related experience and/or training.
Bakery/manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to prioritize issues, take action, follow through and focus on delivering results.
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles.
The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
