Chesapeake Energy Corporation is seeking a talented individual for the position of PSM Coordinator. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.

The PSM Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating Process Safety Management compliance efforts per OSHA standards.

In addition, the responsibilities and duties include:
Act as the primary resource for the implementation and enforcement of all aspects of the Process Safety Management (PSM) program

Track and report process safety leading and lagging indicators, key process safety metrics, action plans, and priority recommendations

Identify process safety improvement opportunities through interaction with all process safety stakeholders.

Train employees in Incident Investigation, MOC/PSSR, KMI Incident Tracking Program

Maintain and prepare for revalidation schedule

Review and revise selected facility procedures to ensure they are in alignment with applicable regulations and company expectations

Other related duties as assigned.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with Chesapeake’s Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Required:
Knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP requirements

Experience representing company in audits or conducting internal gap assessments

Ability to conduct/coordinate classroom and field training meetings as needed.

Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.

Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.

Any associate who drives a company or personal vehicle for Company business must possess a valid driver licenses and follow all guidelines that are outlined in the Company’s Fleet Policy.

Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Solid problem solving skills.

Must be “hands-on”; capable of interacting effectively at every level within the business.

Must be a team player as well as a goal-oriented individual who functions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Bachelor degree in Safety, Risk, Chemical Engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in a process safety role in a process manufacturing environment

High attention to detail, writing proficiency and organization skills

Self Sufficient and able to effectively work independently

Preferred:
Developing and delivering process safety training including PHA's

CSP, CPSA or other related certification
