The Market Development Manager: Consumer Authentication will act as a leader to drive adoption of VASCO ‘s client solutions and managed services platform in the consumer authentication market . The Market Manager is responsible for defining, coordinating and driving new business /sales of VASCO client and service applications throughout North America. Working with local Marketing and Technical Account Managers, t he wil l focus on expanding VASCO’s new business in North America with application service provider s that address consumers. This includes free-to-play gaming, cloud services , online dating, and other membership organizations. In addition to driving adoption of VASCO’s client solutions and services platform , the MM will also coordinate partnerships to insure its success . The manager must achieve the quarte rly and yearly operational plan including the acquisition of new accounts, users, and services revenue in excess of $1,000,000.
Profile and Objectives:
The MM will be responsible for the North American territory and p rofessionally manage each account, coordinating all account activity, including: preparation and execution of a sales plan for each opportunity, initial approach, qualification, business needs analysis; risk assessment in terms of value and exposure to VASCO and customer.
To achieve the new business revenue and territory development goals, the SSE will:
o Aggressively prospect, generate and pursue opportunities from all sources including networking, cold-calling and other lead generation activities
o Must be a hunter, comfortable evangelizing new ideas to customers
o Qualify new opportunities and applications for VASCO’s client solutions and managed services platform
o Maintain a pipeline of 30-40 op portunities at any given time
o Accurately forecast and manage revenue to insure the realization of strategic and operational sales targets
o Offer unique perspectives to customers with excellent two-way communication skills
o Present company overview and business solution s through online and in-person presentations and demonstrations.
o Create and deliver proposals and quotations.
o Work with M arketing to build execute, and track lead generation activities
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
o Superior knowledge of customer value drivers and ability to identify economic drivers
o Comfort discussing pricing and value
o Ability to lead the customer, be a resource, solve problems, and apply pressure
o Ability to qualify leads and close deals over the phone , or in-person
o A minimum of 5 years experience selling software solutions preferably to application service providers; experience in selling IT Security Solutions a plus
o Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
o Proven track record exceeding million dollar quotas
o Salesforce.com proficiency
o Strong work ethic , organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
o BA/BS degree in IS, Technology Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management , Marketing, Economics or equivalent work experience highly preferred .
