ITA Position Description: Director, Membership

Position: Director, Membership
Reports to: ITA CEO and Vice Presidents

Core Function: Leads and manages the ongoing business development of the association driving membership sales, renewals and sponsorship

The Opportunity
This newly created and highly visible position offers an extraordinary opportunity for a sales lead to drive the success for high growth organization. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the ITA’s sales activities including, but not limited to, membership sales, member retention and sponsorship while becoming deeply ingrained in the technology industry of Chicago.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads and manages the membership sales process of the association
  • Manages ongoing membership renewal process including account management throughout the year
  • Leads sponsorship sales for ITA programs and services in concert with other staff
  • Works with other staff to address member needs and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • The proven ability to create and successfully execute a sales pipeline
  • The successful candidate will possess refined communications and diplomacy skills, and must be capable of working effectively with senior leadership at technology companies
  • The ability to foster and develop relationships with a diverse and geographically dispersed set of constituents will also be a necessary skill.
  • The desire and ability to manage small teams, which may be partially comprised of external resources.
  • An understanding of the structure and business market of the high-tech industries.
  • The proven ability to be a self-starter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves when necessary and who pursues objectives with passion and intensity.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate high integrity and intelligence, outstanding maturity, excellent judgment, and an ability to generate trust with colleagues.
Compensation: Base Salary + Bonus

Experience: Five-seven years’ experience in sales and account management
