The Quality Control Incoming Inspector is responsible for the sampling, inspection, testing and approval of Packaging Components, Raw Materials, Printed Materials and Active Ingredients in accordance with internal and external regulations and policies and consistent with supply chain approval cycle time goals. Assure the compliance to all quality control policies, procedures and systems to ensure the timely release of high quality product in support the supply chain process. Inspection of the labeling, quantity and material or product to be shipped. Maintains the Retention Room well organized. Audits the Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Compliance Receiving Report of Raw Materials and Packaging Components in accordance with internal and external regulations and policies and consistent with supply chain cycle time goals. Maintains accurate and neat records of all work performed. Interacts with Technical Development group during the validation activities and transfer of new products. Assigns proper disposition to materials/products through the Computer System within established cycle time and schedules. Verifies (Peer Reviewer) data/results generated by other Incoming Inspector. Maintains and control documents on safe files assuring that active records are protected. Complies with the goals of the quality team and with overall business and process goals.


A minimum of an Associate Degree is required. Science and technical majors preferred. Four (4) years of quality control or equivalent experience within the pharmaceutical industry required. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Must be fluent in Spanish and able to understand documents written in English; must have good communication and documentation skills. Good knowledge of inspection process and Current Good Manufacturing Practices is required. Knowledge of and/or ability to demonstrate understanding of sampling plans (i.e. ANSI/ASQ, etc.) is required. Experience with SAP, LIMS, Arcos, Doc Space systems is preferred. Must be able to work in a sampling room with a gowning and a face mask during a prolonged period of time. Candidates must also wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as part of the respiratory surveillance program. Forklift license is preferred. Availability to work on the 1st and 2nd shifts and flexibility to change working schedule, working overtime and weekends according to business needs is required. Physical requirements of the position include sampling, drums / containers movement using hand truck, samples transportation, stationary position, filing, and requires sporadic pull and push, bend forward and backwards, twist waist and neck, hand and arm; frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, listen, grab with one or both hands; and constantly close vision, handwriting, use of computer and general office machines / tools, laboratory equipment and instruments.
