First International Bank & Trust seeks a detail oriented IT Compliance Auditor to join our growing corporate compliance team. This position will conduct independent IT audits for management to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations for our growing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Audits records of departments and offices and interviews workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Establishes IT audit guidelines according to industry and organizational standards.
Audits the organization’s technology and security controls, processes, and procedures.
Reviews FDICIA documentation related to IT controls, performs testing, and provides reports to management about the results.
Examines and evaluates department and organizational activities for compliance with management plans and policies.
Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in IT controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations and management policies or procedures.
Appraises the economy and efficiency with which IT resources are employed.
Provides an identification of IT risk areas.
Prepares and submits IT audit findings and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors and to management.
Conducts special studies for management such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud or security breaches, such as internal penetration testing and social engineering, and to develop controls for fraud and breach prevention.
Reviews IT related policies, procedures and organizational structure and how profitability is affected.
Observes and evaluates the use of IT resources in meeting corporate objectives, goals and standards.
Assure effective and efficient cooperation with the external auditors, examiners and Audit Service Providers.
Assist in recommending and executing Internal Audit strategic initiatives and audit plans while supporting management strategies.
Work in conjunction with financial, operational and compliance audit personnel to ensure key financial, operational and compliance risks are adequately addressed during audits.
Provide timely follow-up on the adequacy and effectiveness of previously agreed audit recommendations
Assures that the audit programs are tailored to the potential risk areas for the business process(es) under review.
Adheres to budget goals, meets deadlines and communicates difficulties in a timely manner.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
