The David Druker Center for Health Systems Innovation is looking for an experienced freelance interaction designer in the San Francisco Bay Area to work on design and visualization of next-generation, technology-enabled healthcare systems and services.

Scope: Work with a multidisciplinary team, including Innovation Center staff, PAMF physicians, staff and patients, during research harvesting, concept ideation and design representation (experience prototyping) incubation phases.

Timeframe: 10-12 week period between late March (week of March 21) and the second week of June (week of June 6)

Specific Skills

Synthesis: Experience working with social scientists, end users and stakeholders to capture, synthesize, coalesce and visually represent ‘free form’ ideas, constraints, etc. that emerge during research harvesting sessions

Concept ideation: Experience translating ethnographic or other forms of qualitative user research into preliminary device and/or system concepts

Design representation: Experience creating design sketches and storyboards to visualize concepts and to illustrate end user interaction with hypothesized system (please provide samples of prior work)

Experience prototyping & end user testing: Experience using a range of rapid prototyping tools and techniques to simulate user experience and elicit user feedback to early system-level design concepts
