The Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (OSPA) is seeking applicants for a Data Manager to provide oversight and management of data and associated reports for OSPA, while maintaining organizational tables, user logins, and other table based information. In addition, the position will require regular review and analysis of OSPA business processes and development of recommendations for modifications or improvements to facilitate data integrity and data management. Duties will require regular review of data, development and generation of reports, and frequent communication with OSPA and ITS staff. The position will also develop and provide training on the use of OSPA and sponsor systems for users.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and able to meet deadlines. The incumbent will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively while training others, and analytical skills to effectively manage and report on a variety of data.
Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, OR Master's degree and some experience, OR a combination of education and related experience totaling 6 years. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
- Experience with data analysis, review and maintenance;
- Experience with collecting, reviewing, and maintaining sponsored project proposal and award data;
- Experience using Cognos, Oracle and/or SQL;
- Experience with implementation of a large enterprise software project;
- Experience working directly with departmental representatives and end users.
Minimum $37,113; commensurate with qualifications
