Manufacturing company with sales of approximately $20 million seeks an experienced controller with strong operations and standard costing experience.

Job Summary:
Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. The Controller will manage the accuracy and productivity

of day-to-day activitiesof accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, 401K, fixed asset records,

general & entity accounting,cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial reporting for management Manage standard costing and one cost accountant Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing process Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity Assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checksacross all departments Manage commercial banking relationships Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies Supervise overall Operations (including: Security, Computer Services and Building Maintenance) Other duties as necessary

Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • 3-4 FTE's (Cost Accountant, 2 Clerks, HR Generalist)
Competencies: Exceptional communication skills Standard costing Solid experience managing reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll Commitment to mentoring and training The ability to delegate accordingly

Educations and/or Experiences: Minimum of a BA CPA and/or MBA preferred Should have 5-10 years experience in all aspects of accounting

Computer Skills: High-level knowledge of Excel, Word, and ERP systems. Problem solving and analytical skills required.
