Job Summary: A busy interventional pain management and rehabilitation clinic in Plano, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner. Nurse Practitioner will report directly to the Medical Director of the clinic. In cooperation and under the supervision of clinic’s Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner will provide primary medical care, coordination of care and professional medical direction & oversight to patients. The clinic follows a comprehensive pain management philosophy and helps patients using interventional and non-interventional techniques. The techniques used include medication management, injection therapy, massage therapy and physical therapy. The Nurse Practitioner must be familiar with Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation disciplines of medicine. Will train and invest in the right candidate. Demonstrated Job-Related Skills/Competencies
• Basic / working knowledge of Pain Management, Physical Medicine and Rehab disciplines of medicine
• Basic familiarity with Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation techniques
• Working knowledge of diagnoses and treatment of acute and chronic pain
• Basic / working knowledge of pain related clinical procedures
• Working knowledge of medical office administration and procedures
• Superior customer service and “bed side manners” and skills
• Critical thinking, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services

Role of the NP in the Integrated and Comprehensive Pain Management Setting
• The Nurse Practitioner is the portal of entry for all patients and all services.
• Responsible for providing a variety of professional medical services including
o Administering physical examinations
o Ordering diagnostic exams and/or tests
o Reviewing diagnostic tests
o Performing injections, when medically necessary
o Write patient treatment orders
o Participate in treatment team meeting

Work Experience
• New graduate applicants are welcome
• Experienced Nurse Practitioner preferred and will be compensated accordingly

Education/Credentials:
• Advanced degree from accredited Nurse Practitioner program of study
• Current TX license
• Current DEA licensure
• Current with BLS and ACLS certification

Needs to:
• Present their record of practice (i.e. insurance history or claims of malpractice) and other credentials
• Be open minded to pain management, physical medicine, rehab, drug and non-drug therapies
• Present Medicare # (UPIN)
