Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP is currently seeking qualified individuals to join our team as a Measurement Instrument Technician for our Sweeny facility, which is located just south of Houston. Vanpools, not sponsored by the company, are currently available from both Pearland and Sugar Land for commuting to Sweeny.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Comply with all health, safety and environmental practices and policies.

Maintaining and configuring various types of measurement equipment.

Programming of Omni flow computers.

Installation and maintenance of communication equipment for offsite stations.

Providing project support for new measurement installations and incorporating new technologies to improve measurement systems.

Maintaining and inspecting measurement equipment (meter runs, orifice fittings, orifice plates, turbine meters, coriolis meters, venturi tubes, flow tubes) on custody transfer and material balance meters.

As necessary, providing on-call service for system changes and upsets (including nights and weekends).

Installing and maintaining 24-hour composite product samplers in the operating units.

Calibrating and witnessing calibration of custody transfer meters.

Qualifications:
An Associates Degree/Certification in Instrumentation/Electronics OR a High School Diploma/GED and five years of direct Measurement experience is required.

Successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety; ability to complete assigned projects in a safe and timely manner; good troubleshooting skills; and a self-starter.

Training in flow computer/transmitter/meter configuration is preferred.
