Responsibilities:
Thorough analysis of business requirements, gap analysis
Create and execute test cases for assigned feature
Communicate issues, risks and test status in a timely and detailed manner
Determine root cause of issues found
Effectively collaborate with team members to achieve the best results
Contribute to a culture of innovation and quality across the Zynga Quality organization
Required Skills:
CS degree or equivalent experience preferred
1+ year QA experience
Web testing / Game testing or internet gaming experience preferred
Attention to detail, excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast pace environment that requires frequent shift in areas of focus
Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems and QA challenges
Thorough understanding of SQA methodologies and practices
The role of the QA Lead is to help the software development team achieve quality and performance goals. QA Lead is responsible for evaluating and reporting on the quality of the product. This role requires an inquisitive, proactive mind and a genuine interest in technology and/or online games in general. This includes the planning and estimating of overall test strategy, designing and running tests, progress reporting and team mentorship. QA Lead works closely with other teams to make sure everything is executed as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Test Lead Responsibilities
Lead and mentor QA Analysts on the team
Plan, estimate, and review test schedule and strategy
Thorough analysis of business requirements; gap analysis
Risk assessment reporting and mitigation
Prioritize and assign tasks to the team
Support testers by reviewing work and providing feedback
Work closely with QA Management to improve QA processes
Ensure effective collaboration between QA, Dev, and other teams on the project
Management of onsite and remote testers
Required Skills
2-4 years QA experience (preferably as a web tester or in the gaming industry)
CS degree or equivalent experience required
1-2 years prior management/lead experience
Proven track record with test automation
Programming/scripting skills required with at least one of the following: Java, PHP, Flash, C/C++, Ruby, Python, Javascript
